If nVIDIAwas like a weapon, in this War of 3D Graphics,they would be an Abrams Tank with a Gatlin Gunstrapped on top, clearing a path of destruction asthey relentlessly rolledonward. Perhaps that is a little overthe top but it seems as if there is no end totheir arsenal of next generation 3D Graphicsproduct. At the very least they seem toexecute new product releases almost flawlessly.Notmore than a quarter ago, the industry was turnedon to the GeForce2 GTS. Shortly there afterin early July, nVIDIA dealt their card inthe 'Business/Value Graphics' game withthe GeForce2 MX and its 'bang for the buckquotient' is unmatched. Finally, therehave been various flavors of the Quadro'professionally enhanced' versions ofthese chips rolling out with each new platformintroduction and they have the folks at 3D Labsand other high end graphics companies nervous, ina big way.
It is as if nVIDIA canstep into any graphics arena they want to and inmany cases, win.Today,out of no where comes an unexpected 'summerspeed-up' from nVIDIA.
